Welcome to Mud Kitchens Ireland, the home of fun and colourful mud kitchens in Ireland, all custom made to order in West Cork, with delivery throughout Ireland.
Mud Kitchens are more than just the chance to explore mud, get messy and have fun. They also provide a whole variety of different learning opportunities including sensory, imaginative, creative and exploratory play.

FAQ’s
What kind of wood do you use? Some Mud kitchens are made from recycled materials, including pallet wood. However the issue encountered here is its difficult to know what this wood has been exposed to during its life, many pallets are used in the storing and moving of harsh chemicals. For that reason all the wood I use is new & purchased direct from a local timber supplier. I recommended purchasing a BBQ cover to cover the mud kitchen when not in use, and store out of the weather over the winter.
What Paint and finishes do you use? I use only CUPRINOL GARDEN SHADES as the primary colours on the mud kitchens. These beautiful matt colours enhance the grain of natural wood, it provides years of weather protection. We use a combination of wood stain and varnish on the counter tops.

I want something a little different, can you make it? YES! Separately from our standard designs, if you have something different or bigger in mind just let us know and we can work out pricing.
Do you supply the mixing bowls and utensils? Mixing bowls are provided and are included in the price, we do not provide utensils as we find people prefer to pick these out themselves.
Can you deliver? Yes, we can deliver throughout Ireland. The flat rate delivery charge in Ireland is €50. This is the best I can find currently, but I am exploring other avenues to make this lower.
Can I pick it up myself? Yes please! I would encourage you to pick up your mud kitchen where possible – just make sure it fits in your car! We are located on the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way, about half way between Kinsale and Clonakilty, why not make a day trip of it!!

What Maintenance is required? Our Mud Kitchens are painted with 3 coats od Cuprinol Garden Shades paint, this is an excellent exterior grade furniture paint. Like any exterior wooden products in Ireland they require maintenance. The more protected it is the longer it will last. I recommend covering it with a BBQ type cover when not in use, or especially with prolonged rain is forecasted. Like garden furniture I would also recommend storing in a shed over the winter as the freezing conditions can affect wood rapidly. Lastly, I recommend giving it a coat of paint every 2 years, or when its showing signs or usage.
